More than a "hygiene" product.
Period Law aims to end the discriminatory period tax. Ultimately, the goal is to make period products more accessible to those who need them. But in order to create change, we need to foster empathy and understanding. Many drug stores label tampons and pads as "feminine hygiene products," which lacks descriptive, inclusive language. It suggests that these products are optional. We decided to rename "feminine hygiene products" to show the many ways that they are essential to people with a period.
